THE ENGINE:

Suzuki GSXR1100WP engine. Ported 1100WP head with stock valves. Conrods have been crack tested, polished, cryo treated and shot peened (MT&C Engineers). Crack tested, cryo treated and shot peened (MT&C Engineers) 5 speed undercut gearbox. Deep/wide high capacity sump to avoid oil pressure surge problems.

This engine was transplanted into the Jedi racing car that Stephen is currently racing in the NSW Hillclimb Championships.

THE BIKE:

The sidecar was a Pacific chassis designed and built in the late nineties by sidecar racer Peter Shoemark. It is a rear engine long bike, with a space frame tubular steel chassis, and centre-hub steering. The suspension is similar to the LCR's from the early nineties.

UPDATE: Sidecar was originally sold to Mitchel Cluff, but is now in Queensland somewhere. Darren is now swinging for Jeff Brown, and they are doing well in the Ozzie Titles together. Stephen is now competing on four wheels in the NSW Hill Climb Championships.

Goodies for separate sale . . . Dyna 2000 ignition, ported head (bare), 6-speed GSXR750W gearbox.

PERFORMANCES:

A lot to learn, and no rush to get there. Maximum speed on Eastern Creek Raceway main straight is 221 kph (from data logger). Best lap time at ECR to date 1 minutes 53 seconds…and that is with a stock 1074cc motor. Best lap at Oran Park South circuit to date 51.4 seconds. Best lap at Oran Park GP circuit to date 1 minute 26 seconds.

2002 PCRA Round 5 result ... race 1, 5th place ... race 2, 3rd place... race 3, DNS (oil leak).

2002 ARRC Round 6 @ ECR ... race 1, 12th place... race 2, 15th place... race 3, DNF (broken wire) ... 16th outright!!!

2003 AHRMA All Four Strokes meeting @ ECR ... race 1, 2nd place... race 2, 2nd place... race 3, 2nd place

2003 PCRA Round 1 @ ECR ... race 1, 3rd place... race 2, 3rd place... race 3, 3rd place
